My dad got his old hagstrom guitar back today after nearly 40 years since he gave it away. My dad owned a bunch of really cool guitars after this one(mostly highdollar gibson archtops or electrics), because he was a gigging musician. But he eventually sold those too, but he didn't really care all he wanted was his first gutiar back. Anyways one of the guys from his hometown called him up a week ago and said he wanted to give the guitar back, but that it was in shambles. Well my dad got it today, and it is in great shape, just needs some wires tightened and a new pack of stings. And for an old cheap guitar this thing plays and sounds amazing. So theres a lesson for all of you, don't sell your first guitar! Here are some pictures:
wow that is a cool looking guitar, and so cool that he got it back. My dad has my first guitar he plays it sometimes, but if i ever want to play it i can go over there and jam. Its a old epiphone. There is nothing like the feel of your first axe, and if you only play it on occasion you can show it how much you have learned!
My first guitar was (is I guess since I won't get a new one for another month) actually my mom's guitar that my grandmother bought for her. I most likely would be killed if I sold it.
Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": The food court is downstairs. The cookie stand is upstairs. It's not like we're talking quantum physics here.
I want to sell my first guitar real bad. Fender Jaguar 50th anniversary, made in (somewhere other than america, cant remember) I need money but for some reason cant bring myself to sell it.
i still play the first guitar that I bought on a regular basis. It was $100 and I like it more than the DM i bought and sold... more than the Takamine 334SC I currently own.
my first one was a wal-mart special...firstact.....i dont particularly hold any special value to it, (of course my mom does, but thats how moms are) but maybe to my second one, being an ibanez aw100, but certainly the the one i bought a couple months ago, a martin dcx1e, i love that one for sure and will never get rid of it
i almost sold my first guitar to my best friend who was wanting to switch from playing electric to acoustic but i could bring myself to it, even knowing that it would be taken care of.
