I know there have been thoughts on a new "contest", here's my thought...

Every contest/competition here on the boards has revolved around how "perfect" someone can compare to Dave Matthews. My thought is how far can you take the original thought? And herein lays the twist and the contest.

Take any Dave Matthews tune... twist it, make it yours and showcase it here. You wanna do a full-on metal version of "Halloween"? Go for it! You wanna take the Jazz route on "Crush"? Bring it on! It's all about INTERPRETATION !

So, the technical stuff… I think for ease of judging (by the masses, of course) the contest could be limited to a weekend…

What’s everyone else’s thought…?

Cheers!

I can be just as creative as yall...I'll just play the chords, and play it off rhythm, or play easier versions....basically I will just play it like I played it 2 years ago...hehe...Peace!

Currently working on...

Halloween (a'la The Deftones) - This one was a given for me. I have done it a few times just screwing around, but I think that I've got it perfected now.

and

Lover Lay Down (a'la John Coltrane) - This one came to me in a dream, should be interesting.

They are coming along... I'm pretty excited about the progress.

Jason - Dude playing badly is not interpretation, seriously.

[Cheers!]
