popped high e...

so i broke the high e on my acoustic a second ago, and now my acoustic wont record... is there a type of acoustic pickup that uses the strings in the circuit? cause as soon as i took high e out and replaced the bridge pin, all i get is static. any help appreciated! Thanks!

pop is a scary technique lol, i feel like strings gonna break any second.

i actually wasnt popping it, strangely enough i was tuning down... i meant pop as a synonym for break
