Possible?

Hey, I was wondering, is it possible for one fret to buzz on just one string?

My G buzzes like a mofo on the 7th fret but no where else and no other string buzzes anywhere... I'm guessing ( and don't make too much fun seeing as I don't know anything about guitar hardware, just playing ) that it's because I play that string a lot ( Grey Street, Billies, SDL, songs like that ) and I don't play the 8th fret on G hardly ever so it's a little higher than the 7th therefore the buzz.

Ideas? Suggestions on how to fix it?

Try to change the string, but i think it's the fret. My strato had this problem too (on 12th fret DAMN!!), but i solved it taking my guitar to the assistence center...
Try this: do bending on this string, if u notice that the sound is stopped by some higher fret, it's the same problem i had!

yes it is possible, if the string change doesnt work, and i dont see why it would, then check the action at the nut/bridge. if it is lower than the rest for the G then theres your problem, if it buzzes at the 7th fret id say the problem is with the bridge because there is a higher angle of access. good luck

The pin is like sunk in... I'm guess that's the problem... Solution?

the pin is of no consequence, its the height of the actual bone, or plastic, on thepart of the bridge the G string rests on. if that string is lower than u may need to replace ur bridge to eliminate th sound, not a huge job unless you got a piezo pickup on it.

My Classical does the same its pain in the ass. There can be a number of things causing it so the best bet would be to take it to a shop so they can figure out the exact reason so you dont waste your time and/or money trying it fix it when you were fixing the wrong problem.
