if i get a 12 string capo, will it also work on a 6 string and not cause any problems?

I would think it would work. For some reason I think it may have more tension in it to hold down all 12 strings, but I don't see how that could do anything bad to a 6-string.

im just worried about it maybe applying too much pressure to the 6 string.. or maybe itll be really wide and itll be hard to play..

My logic is that it will obviously be wider, but that shouldn't be a problem cuz it can't really get in the way of anything. Also, the only thing it would put more tension on would be the fretboard. I personally don't think that would matter at all, it doesn't bend it back or anything to warp the neck. You should be in pretty good shape just gettin a 12-string one, but u might wanna check with some of the other guys here.

Yeah it'll work. I asked someone at my local guitar shop when I was getting one.

I'm pretty sure my Kyser was around $15 when I got it. Not positive though.

I say go with the Kyser, for about $15 its well worth the ease of use. I've seen come crazy-looking capos out there that look like a pain in the ass, but this one is really nice and easy to use.

I HIGHLY recommend the Shubb style. I have both Kyser and Shubb and prefer the Shubb only because I can use it on both my classical guitar (which has FAT/WIDE neck) and dreadnaught. They both work fine, of course, but atleast the Shubb is totally adjustable.

It's another brand of a capo. Go to google.com and do a search for Shubb. It will take you to their site. Check 'em out.
