You know that guy down my street that has the studio? Well I went over to his house today to talk about recording equipment for me, and he's like: "Here, I gathered up some stuff that you can use"

What?!

So he explains to me about all of this stuff.

Here's what I got:

Digidesign M-Box (With Pro Tools LE Software - which is excellent)
$495 List

Audio-Technica AE5100
$379 List

Audio-Technica AE3000
$379 List

Image

Two mic stands, mic cables - everything. I can now record in stereo with two mics! It sounds incredible.

However, I am still going to pay him for this. He said "You know, you can pay me a couple hundred dollars in the future or something, it doesn't really matter"

So basically, I now have a studio. :) I am so lucky.

I'll post some clips maybe later tonight.

ah! I was waiting for you to see this. He taught me alot about compression/reverb and the like, but I'm not sure I fully understand it yet. But I will definitely get some clips tomorrow, I have to do an essay right now. (that's due tomorrow :shock:)

I'm definitley excited about this though.

edit: oh! and stereo mic-ing!!
