well man, we need more info on this "other song" but as far as anyone knows, ASTB is an original segue DMB did to use between songs...

its called anyone seen the bridge because there is a led zeppelin song with a similar guitar riff in which the band members of led zeppelin say things like "has anyone seen the bridge?" and "where is that confounded bridge?" i have no idea what the hell it means tho

Most frequently, this jam fuses "So Much to Say" and "Too Much." It serves this function on Live in Chicago, 12.19.98, and Untitled Central Park Live Album. Whenever used, it almost invariably follows "So Much to Say."

On occasion, during the 2003 summer tour and other rare instances, the band would use it to fuse "So Much to Say" with other songs.

An element of this song — the booming bassline played by Stefan Lessard — can also be heard in the first half of the jam which concludes "Pig" on Before These Crowded Streets. The other half of the jam includes the melody from "Deed is Done."

The jam's name is a reference to the Led Zeppelin song, "The Crunge." Released on the band's fifth album, Houses of the Holy, the song ends abruptly with lead singer Robert Plant asking, "Has anybody seen the bridge? ... Where's that confounded bridge?"

The DMB jam no lyrics and is usually Dave humming, scat singing and speaking gibberish. Often, as on Live in Chicago, 12.19.98, he will scat sing the words "Little baby," which conclude "So Much to Say."

And the summer 2004 tour. The show I went to ( http://www.nancies.org/tour/reviews/20040629/ ) they played SMTS-->ASTB-->PNP-->Rapunzel. It was pretty sweet.

Yeah it was tight. They played the entire encore without stopping. I was happy even though it was my third time seeing them end with PNP-->Rapunzel.

It might mean, like a song bridge. THem playing it is like they found the bridge, or something. just a thought.

That was actually my original too, that it was an original jam (bridge to the next song, usually too much). But there is an obvious connection now that i listen to the led zeppelin song "the crunge"
By the way, anyone see the Salt City Olympic concert where they did SMTS-->ASTB-->Ants marching, the last song i would have expected ASTB go into haha, it was pretty cool though
