Dave Setlist

On December 10th, my High School is having it's annual Coffehouse. Tryouts are this Monday, and I was wondering how this setlist sounds, or any other suggestions/comments, etc etc etc.

horrible, dont do all dave, show a range, dont be some other guy that walks in with his acoustic, and plays some day to impress them, and get in, do a dave sure, but do 2 more aswell that arent.

yeah but the thing is, no one else ever does dave at this thing, so i thought it'd be variety. and i'm known at my school for bein a big dave fan

I had the same problem. I just don't want to be THAT GUY. Where everyone is like, "There's the kid who can play DMB." Instead of, "Hey! There's that kid who's good at guitar!"

its like this, do a dave, those arent very impressive, you want to show skill, play billies two step or warehouse...

then do some other stuff, pick some other stuff, doesnt matter what, but just show people you got skill, not just the ability to learn daves style.

play billies if you want in. you should try some jack johnson and maybe some mraz. that is so cool taht your school has a coffehouse night

well im more of a vocalist than guitarist. the tripping billies verse has me by the ass.

we have somethin here called olio, i dont care about trying out, cause 1. id know id have no chance of winning, on the slight chance i got in...
2. to explain 1, its most all punk, emo, or metal.... a guy doin a blend of mayer, matthews, and reynolds, with some phish thrown in wont have a chance.

Yeah, but playing Crash is the ultimate ticket to getting that "kid who plays Dave" title...You know? I like the song, I like playing it, but I don't play it often in front of people. You either get stupid girls coming, or everyone tunes you out.
