Digitech Whammy is not multieffect, just Whammy.

I'm not a big fan of multieffects, but Digittech makes some good multieffects.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

i had a digitech rp300. multieffects are just not the way to go. get something that does one thing well instead of one thing that does several things crappily.

i sold the digitech rp300 a long time ago, and im slowly acquiring more pedals that are much easier to use.

The best advice for a newbie at effects is to get a multi and then replace the effects that you really like with single.

So for example, you get the RP300 and you are really enjoying the tremolo effect. Then you should get a BOSS single pedal tremolo. Why? Because it has more options and a better sound to it.

But start out with a multieffect if you don't know what you like. You could buy a computer multieffect program instead. It's cheaper and is similar to a pedal.

if your new to multifx pedals i'd say just get something easy to manipulate that's cheap. i've got a zoom505 that i still play around with. it has pretty sweet distortion on one of the settings that sounded better than boss's metal zone. the other effects are ok especially for the price you can get these on ebay for like 50 bucks now.
if your serious i'd say get a boss gt-5 or 6 though. 300 bucks or so but very nice.

it's not amazing by any means but it's cheap as hell and a good start before you start spending 100 dollars or more on effects you don't understand or need.
