fix my silvertone

Post by kcw »

I have a really old Silvertone acoustic guitar. It was kept in the garage for about 15 years before it was given to me by my mother. Well ever since i got it it has sounded really bad. I know there is something wrong with it. The tuners are bent and I dont know if replacing them might fix the tone but i dont want to spend money on it just to find out it isnt fixable. Ive tried replacing the strings and that didnt work too well. Someone told me the neck might be warped. Well if that be the case how would i be sure and could i fix it? I dont know the model or anything but i found the serial number on it, 1023621 , if that helps any.

Well I already know replacing the bridge will cost a lot. And I know that it does need a new one.

Play a song and make a commotion on the street... then pretend to get upset and smash the guitar to pieces.

(props to you who came up with this idea here)

If you don't want it fixed and it doesn't work, then smash it!

Then there's nothing to do but smash it!
