What DMB songs wud you recommend to a newbie DMB guitarist?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

What DMB songs wud you recommend to a newbie DMB guitarist?

Post by dbapollo »

I'm new to studying Dave Matthews' style of playing the guitar.

What progression of DMB songs would you recommend for me to try out if I wanna be a good guitar player?

It's like: what DMB songs would you classify as Easy, Moderate, Hard?

Thanks a lot!

Just fight it, it'll go away.

Although most would say save it until you've been playing for 4 years, Trippin' Billies is a fun one to learn.

fuck that shit. I leanred it my second year of playing. Granted it wasnt perfect but the hardest part is the stretch. If you put it in chord form, its really simple.

Nah, it really shouldn't, sit down and take time to PRACTICE (a term a lot of the people around here don't understand when I say I do it like 5 hours a day) and Billies verse and the stretch is cake.

Yeah just practice Crash consistently and in a few days you'll get used to the stretch and have no problems.
