A DMBTABS Guitar "War"

I used to post on mxtabs.net alot and they had this thing going with two people of about the same ability cover or write a song and record it. Both songs are then posted and the people on the forum vote for who should win. There doesnt need to be singing but there can. I wasn't sure if this had already been done but its pretty cool to see what people can do. However, im not much of a computer wiz so I probably couldn't organize it. Just thought it might be something everyone would want to do.

Ya pretty much unless you wanted to have originals as well. But you get a bunch of people at each ability level and have them record. the u have person 1 vs person 2. person 3 vs person 4. people vote and the winner of the two either makes a new recording or keep the same one. They then face each other. There are abilities of like begginner, intermediate, and advanced.

I don't think of music as a competitive thing. Just my opinion.

all i think is that "guitar war" sounds much cooler than cover contest. has a little more competetion in it.

"guitar war" does sound much better than a cover contest, Im interested just because of that.

personally I think its a good idea but i'll wait till more people put in there two cents. the only thing is the only way i could run it is if someone pm'd me and gave me instructions on posting the songs and all that. Ill jsut give it some time and see what people have two say.

If this does happen, I think it would be cool to encourage people to change the song and add things to it and whatnot. That way we're not just all listening to different people play the same thing.
