It seems Hartford is always a problem..that happened a couple years ago too...there's always a $hitload of meat-heads at the CT shows and there are always fights...i think it's one of the largest tailgating venues (per square feet) and there's just not enough police around to prevent things from escalating
One of my friends' older brothers was permanently blinded in the right eye at the riot that night in Hartford, after a cop shot with him a rubber bullet and it fractured his eye socket.
It's a shame really. I tailgated for around 2 hours before each show. I live in CT, so I was able to bum beer and other goodies off some of my friends for free, and it was definitely a good time. I think the problem is when you do that stuff (especially the beer) to an excess. I only had around 6 or 7 beers each night, so I was only mildly tipsy for the show, which made amazing shows even more enjoyable for me, without any violence or ill effects.
