Huge use of the G Chord

I feel like Dave is using the G chord a shitload in these new songs. A lot of the riffs are based around it. Just noticed, thought I would share.

if you say he is basing a lot of his new riffs around the G chord, chances are the key of the songs will be in G, all pop music is in either C, G, or D, and to a lesser extent F. its that simple.

i really hate the direction his guitar work has taken lately, there is no creativity to it, its all bland and common.

he needs to start doing drugs again so we can get some cooler riffs out of him

actually i didn't, me not liking his new guitar work has nothing to do with what key its in, that comment was merely an aside to the "key of pop" issue
