Let You Down......some explantion needed

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I think, and I'm not sure but I've been working on it for a while, that you hit each chord twice and then the G and... dammit.. is that Gdim? Anyway, you hit the last two chords once only. You usually follow that part up with the same chords in the 3/4 time the rest of the song is in.

Also something that isn't covered here, at the end of the song, at some point, "Forgive me..." is repeated a couple times, and then you play the last 3 chords posted above me in a 3/4. Listen to a D&T version. I recommend 2/6/97.

Its in 6/8 time for that part and he plays the first verse part each chord on each beat. (one triplet, two triplet; one triplet, two triplet) and the same with each chord of the second verse part, I think.

As far as the 6/8 timing goes, the piano should provide some orientation.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away
