you do realize that the John Mayer models went for more than the 900 series? thats just ridiculous. the John Mayer models were almost basic.

It's a signature model..obviously they're going to put the price up.

and the 900 series with all the extras on it (including the pricey abalone used on a lot of it) costs less. theres nothing even special about the john mayer model, like how daves had the paduak piece in it. it was just like a plain rosewood guitar with a special inlay. whooptyfrickendoo. lets pay an extra $2000 for it.

I'm not debating that mayer's model is better than a 914, all i'm saying is that any guitar manufacturer that makes signature guitar is going to up the price. The fact is that a standard taylor costs almost as much as a signature martin.
