Please Help with LIOG

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Please Help with LIOG

Post by DropD-MB »

Hey All--

Wondering if anybody can help me out or direct me somewhere where I can find this info. On LIOG during the verse parts especially during the intro sections while Dave is strumming the D, Timmy is playing 2 or 3 chords/Notes. Can someone tell me what they are? Or Does anybody no where I can get the Lead Part for the entire song. Greatly Appreciated

Hey, do you mean the little 3-chord part during the intro of the studio version that you can really hear by playing it through one speaker only (not sure which speaker it is)? If so, I also am wondering about that part. Yeah, when Dave and Tim play it, Tim plays it throughout the song. I'd like to be able to add it in while playing too.

Actually I guess it would only be two chords. The third is just the D that starts the riff again.

i don't know how to write tabs, so hopefully this will make sense.

Tim plays:

e--x---x---x
B--3---5---7
G--x---x---x
D--4---5---7
A--x---x---x
E--x---x---x

like i said, i don't know how to write tabs......if you can play these while someone plays the intro, it sounds great.

I appreciate the responses. I will go home tonight and mess with that. But also does anybody know the notes for when Dave plays this:

----------------------2-----------
--------x--0--2--4---------4-----
--------------------------------3--

What IM trying to figure out is what notes Timmy plays when Dave plays the above part. Its just some higher notes but finding them can take awhile. So I ask anybody who knows what they may be........Please respond. Thanks & Good Luck with your D&T 2003 Tickets.

try and be a little more specific, you didnt even label the strings so we have no clue which part you're talking about. if you're talking about this:

Code: Select all

E:-2-------------------------------------
B:-3------------------1-------------------
G:-2--------2---------2--0h2--0-----------
D:-0--2--4-----4--0---2----------4--2--4--
A:----------------------------------------
E:----------------------------------------
...then i still don't know, and am curious myself.

I would like to know the corresponding notes to that part as well. But I was talking about the verse rather than that Bridge/Chorus part.

Verse
E:-2--------x--------------------------
B:-3--------x--------------------------
G:-2--------x-----------2--------4--4--
D:-0--------x--0--2--4-----4-----2--2--
A:----4--2--x--------------------------
E:----------x-----------------3--------

---------2--------
These notes above..... 0---2--4----4------
----------------3------

Thanks.....
