major scale

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

no.tab.for.learning.scales. if your a beginner stop resorting to tab, learn some theory, learn what notes are where on the neck and how to read sheet music. tab is a hard habit to break. Here is a A major scale for example...

A-B-C-C#-D#-F-G-A

play that on the bass, bam you just played an Amaj scale.

Listen, fuck these websites and such, once you get to know every note on your bass you can construct your own major scales. Every major scale follows this equation

Half Step = 1 Note/fret
Whole Step = 2notes/frets

WS WS HS WS WS WS HS

I.E.
E F# G# A B C# D# E

Every scale ends with the beginning note(octave)
