Ibanez AW100

Post by JacknCoke »

Hey,
do any of you guys or gals play this guitar or...have comments on it...I played it a few times, and I think the price tag for the sound is a steal..

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

ibanez = blah. if youre looking for a cheap acoustic, go alvarez.

I beg to differ with the post above mine. My parents bought me an Ibanez AW100 as a starter guitar, and it's done my quite nicely, I have a tight expensive takamine now, and i still enjoy playing my ibanez aw100, u should go for it, but really its all up to u, what we may like in a guitar u may hate...:)

I'd have to agree with Shane. Although there is not much of a difference between Alvarez, Takamine, and Ibanez. The quality of workmanship on the guitar tends to decrease in that order. If you get an Ibanez, you won't be kicking yourself over the difference, but Alvarez is the best in that price range, and you should probably look at those first.

I had one for a bit. For the price, it is a nice guitar. Looks nice, gold grover tuners. I actually took it back because it had cosmetic issues (yeah, I am anal) and got an alvarez instead. To be honest, I wish I'd kept the AW100 over the alvarez. Since the the neck on the alavarez well....fell off.

I am not a big Ibanez fan at all, but I don't thing the AW100 is a bad guitar at all. If you play it and like it, the go for it. You are the only one that needs to be happy with it.
