ya, my bro's wife has a seagul folk, i kinda liked it, it just felt a bit small. but when Dave played in SD he was playing a folk style and it sounded amazing. So that is where my dilema came into play.

Fairly confident what dave played was a Grand Auditorium, not a Folk.. may be the same, but that's the technical name for his guitar

yea, I dont know either, the ussual body styles are parlor, 00, OM, 000, small jumbo, dreadnought, and jumbo.
Looks like that alvarez is somewhere between a small jumbo and an OM style(kinda like a taylor 514,514,714...). I think they would both have a great sound(large powerful bass and a nice high end), the "folk" might be a better guitar for fingerpicking, but Dreads sound nice fingerpicked(despite what some people say).

Ya, i've decided on the AD60SC, it's just too much nicer for being $80 more.
Folk guitars are similar to a smaller parlor size guitar and good for finger picking. Dreds have a fuller sound. If someone already said that oh well...
