My Cliff Bordwell Thread.

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

That's sweet. The music scene around here isn't as eclectic as I'd like it to be. There are only a select few that I can really talk about the music I enjoy with. I bet it was sweet to grow up a few decades ago where there wasn't an overabundance of rap and mtv punk and whatever.

Cliff emailed me and said the bass will be shipping out within the week. I'll have it sometime over easter break.

Will do. Cliff said he's going to email me pics of the completed bass when he sends me my final invoice in a couple days.

Thanks! :)

I was really surprised about the color, because this is what the top wood looked like before it was finished.

Crazy how it changes after it's done. I love it.

Haha, you can't really see the neck, but uh, yeah, sorry it doesn't please you. :)

Not as common as 4 or 5, but there are plenty out there. Six string basses usually add one lower string and one higher string, so it's tuned BEADGC. Keeps the perfect 4ths, so it's not just a guitar tuned an octave lower. 4-strings are usually EADG, and 5s are usually tuned with a low B string, or occasionally a high C string.
