Ehh, I can only see "Stay" so many times. I know it'd be fun but I've seen some cool shows and I don't even listen to that much DMB anymore.
We'll thats ashame. Why don't you listen to them much anymore?
I listened to them so much in high school that I kinda got bored with them. I am a music major in college and I listen to mostly jazz. Sometimes I listen to the classics- UTTAD, BTCS, Crass, but they just don't appeal to me on the level that they used to.
Well I don't know how Dave can get old, every show is different and he is so popular. Jazz is great and all but there is nothing live DMB
Uh.. Pop music is cool and all, but to me, nothing beats an instrumentalist expressing himself in a medium that allows you to articulate exactly how you feel using your instrument.
And every jazz show is different, because any solo an artist might play is going to be different every night.
"I’m gonna rise up, gonna kick a little ass. Gonna kick some ass in the USA. Gonna climb a mountain, gonna sew a flag, gonna fly on an eagle. I’m gonna kick some butt, gonna drive a big truck. I’m gonna rule this world. I’m gonna kick some ass. I’m gonna rise up, gonna kick a little ass. Rock, flag, and eagle!"
I am thinkin about going to Alpine this year for both the Roots and DMB. I went in 04 and was very impressed with the band. I bought the live trax and that brings a lot a memories haha.
Anyway, for the people that are going for both nights, what do you usually do for lodging? Do you camp or rent a hotel or what?
most people camp that come from out of town. i live 30 min away so i just stay at home, but this year we might be staying at one of my friend's cottages so we will see. i would recommend checking out a camping place in the are. Kettle Moraine, Big foot, and Bong are pretty good from what i have heard.
