Why an Auditorium not a dread?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

That's not true. Taylor has always produced dreds. The 810 was one of their first released guitars.

I'm glad he uses auditorium. They are much better to look at and lets be honest, whatever Dave plays on stage is gonna sound awesome to the audience.

Dreads body shape id boring IMO

I use Auditorium shape :)

i know for a fact that i would never buy a guitar just by the way it looks. i own a martin dread and i think it is beautiful, but that is not the point. buy a guitar for its sound, not because it looks good.

Completely agree with you there. I happened to love the sound of my guitar when I played it in the shop.
