DMB Ripoff?

Post by sbhanot »

Hey - I just heard this song by Rockwell Ryan (or Stephen Speaks, not sure of the difference), but the chords sound straight up like a rip off of tripping billies - the songs called "On My Way" - is it just me, or does this sound exactly like Tripping Billies?!?!?!

werd. good assessment - We'll leave it at this: If one were to download that song, they would be baffled at the intense ripoff it is.

there is a switchfoot song "only hope" which kinda sounds like stay or leave. the chords progression is pretty similar and they have this weird tick tock drum going the whole time too. check 'er out.

OK, got it - if you search for "Stephen Speaks" on Kazaa, the songs called "On My Way" - and it should be pretty easy to find.... and its ridiculous.....

i can see some similarities, but not enough to call it a ripoff. if anything i hear alot of "too much" in there.

if he had a website and it listed his influences, dave would be there.
