Tripping Billies Help!

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Tripping Billies Help!

Post by darrow »

Hey guys, let me say this I'm not a noob at guitar, I've got six years of experience but I can't seem to get Tripping Billies down, I thought I had it but I just got myself into a bad habit of playing it wrong rhythm wise. I also can't find a video on this site of how to play it.

Can anyone help?

Also did anyone here go to the 06/13/06 show in Toronto? Such a good show.

personally, i use all down strokes and include and extra note to keep the rhythm-i hit the open D and G strings after the slide 4/5 and also two muted downstrokes before 2 4 at the end of the verse.

2 3
hope this made sense.

A grace note is a really fast note played right before another one. It's like a scoop on a wind instrument.

Grace note? There aren't any grace notes in TB. A 1/16th note is different from a grace note.

I like playing them as grace notes, it feels smoother.
