He usually guests when they play gigs in New Mexico (Cricket Pavillion?, too lazy to check the almanac), he hasn't done a full tour in a loooong time.

he makes boyd look dumb, especially as tim is apparently one hell of a riddle player.
these sets have been good, and like has been said, Dave is basicly unknown here, people who have heard of him on the whole, know WWYS /WAYG/SB/Crash/41/AB and Crush. id love him to break out a raven or fool to think ,but to most people there nancies and two step were the undiscovered delight of the evening

i've read something about this on these boards before, but where did this come from? it's like someone posting something on ants saying they spoke to stefan about the new album. unless carter calls me to tell me he doesn't care for tim, i can't believe this to be true. he's appeared on 3 albums, and i think if they thought his sound crowded theirs, he probably wouldn't have appeared after uttd.

Keep in mind that this is not Ants. Ants is filled with a bunch of people who know nothing and post just for posting's sake just so they boost their post count. For the most part, i read everything with a grain of salt. i don't know if it's true, but i believe it more if i find it on these boards as opposed to ants. i don't even go on ants anymore, they are annoying.

Well, he obviously adds to the band's sound, but Stefan/Carter apparently think that Tim takes away from that 'DMB' sound that they have, and probably overshadow the others in the band. I personally feel the same on most occasions I've heard Tim play with the band (RRocks '95 being an exception). I just don't like that distorted electric guitar on most of their tunes (some I do, though like Last Stop I really like w/Tim).
I do kind of agree with you there, but i think only in some of his solos his guitar sounds TOO distorted. That must be why I love his acoustic solos.
Despite above, I do hope timmy comes back to sit on a few songs/shows. Even though I won't be able to see/listen live.
