Hole in my Martin

Post by MartinDC-16GTE »

So this past weekend some drunk person at my house accidently knocked over my guitar while i was gone. Now there is a hole in the side of it. Does anyone know if this can be repaired, and if so, about how much will it cost me?

dam. i am no help to you but i'm sorry. i have the same guitar, assuming its the same as your name (except mine's rosewood) and i love it. that really doesn't sound like a fixable problem. as least not significantly cheaper than a whole nother guitar.

did a seam split open or is there an actual hole? a couple years ago my strap on my martin came off the endpin and it dropped straight down, one of the seams split open. i took it to a licensed martin luthier in the next city over and he fixed it in a week or two. i'm not sure what they could do with an actual hole. you should try to find out who knocked it over or something, that's fucked up.

it depends where the hole is and how big.

the flatter the area the more likely it can be fixed.

if it is just a stright acoustic, and this may be a coletely idiotic idea, but depending on where the hole is on the die, maybe install a pick up system there?
