the vocals remind me of coheed and cambria

the instrumentals seem pretty tightened down, you guys have a unique style, kinda this dark celtic thing goin on.

nice work keep it up.

the music is really good, i really like the music, but i dont care for the lead singer much at all honestly, i dont like her voice at all, just not my thing.

and youre always going to get the bluegrass comparisons when your set up includes a mando, violin and an acoustic guitar.

i can see that...she'll sound a lot better and more natural once we're able to actually pay for recordings...now she has to scream over us while recording

Tipping Holly? Flogging Molly?

1 minute in: I like your lead vocalist's voice and style. Somewhere between Michael Jackson/The Arcade Fire/Radiohead. Some back-up vocals might provide a necessary contrast to it.

2:30: Still waiting for it to go somewhere....

3:00: Getting me excited with this last build-up....

3:30: Damn.... nothing...

I like the song. I like the sound. It's disappointing though; I was waiting for something to contrast the drone, and I didn't receive that. HOWEVER, if you're ever in NYC, I'd like to come see you. Post it on this board.

Mirage is a great song.

I know what you mean abou the last build up...which is why it has since received a new ending since we recorded it last. The song is drop d tuned, and after that last build up i quickly uptune the guitar to standard by ear....and they bust into this jam built around some wacky seventh chords..think the end of what would you say on luther college...it's pretty nifty....mainly because it completely contrasts with the rest of the song

yes...yes it does....i've found a shitty mando plus a brand new player on the thing...plus recording it direct equals a tone that equals pure crap....i actually didn't mind it too much on this one though. the weridness/shittyness of its sound almost sounded like piano in parts to me....

I loved the mandolin. If you change it, I'll be sad.

not a huge fan of the vocals but the music was badass. wish i had more to add to this, but it seems like you guys really have your shit together. like i said the music was great. and it's not that the vocals are out of key or anything, just not really my taste.

good shit.

i definately agree with this. the female vocals aren't my taste, but they're on key and they have a distinct style. keep doin your thing. the instrumentals were together and, though they didn't really go anywhere, they settled into a decent groove and rode it. it was not too bad.
