Obviously on his guitar...I meant where he places it..because he doesn't tie the strap to the neck.

Can regular people put like strap buttons in? Or do I need a luthier? Cause I don't want to dril through my guitar and fuck it up.

IT DOES ABSOLUTELY NO HARM TO THE NECK OF YOUR INSTRUMENT TO TIE THE STRAP ON THE PEGHEAD.
Is this true?

Yes. The only thing it might do is wear the finish down right under the strings there.

I still wonder why such a "perpendicular torque" does not, by any mean, harm the neck, but ok...

I belive the Frets guy mentions somewhere, that it is totally imcomparable to the weight the strings put on the top, and neck of the guitar. So that hanging a six pound guitar would do nothing to the neck.
I belive he also mentions that he has a guitar hanging in his kitchen area.. And it's been there for like 20 years... And the neck is still perfect.

Strap buttons should go on the neck, not on the sides of the body, that is idiotic. Does Taylor actually do that?
