yah and they all own $1500 guitars have you ever tried to buy a clapton signature series fender? you see the problem with your argument is that i stated earlier that EXPENSIVE fenders are ok just not worth it when it comes to the dollars...
bah! all of you need to go to the fender factory and eat fender breakfast and eat fender lunch and eat fender for ever because I HATE FENDER!!! ;P
not really, you're right though, but all those guys arent playing $500 guitars or $300 guitars

Well, I have to say, Gibson makes acoustics, and they are well known for electric,s but their acoustics are very well known too. Watch John Lennon, he used Gibson Acoustics.
Also, a standard strat is great! I just like thickjer bodies and necks. Also, the difference between a standard strat and Clapton's Blackie, it's just the little things. The detail, the exact wood they want, the little adjustments to get rid of most if any noise at all.
Also, I have a Fender DG-20CE. They are no guild, tacoma, or martin, but they are decent. for their price, these are good intermediate acoustics. They do the job, and come out very well. It's not something you would want to play in a stadium (even though dave played one on the santana supernatural special, yes it's a fender). But, for small gigs, open mics, playing at home, they are very good. I still play mine even though I have the Michael Kelly now.
Also, why don't you tell how Telecasters suck to Bruce Springetin's face? Also, even though he destoyed many of them (just for the effect), Pete Townsend played and plays them still.
If you are bashing guitars, go for the squires, but come on, I bet you havn'tr tried fenders that much at all, have you?
Again it's a decent acoustic and not a bad price, if you aren't expecting to go into Central Park, it's not a bad buy at all. Also, their electronics are even better now, so I say get one with a preamp on it.
fender acoustics = decent
fender electrics = great
hey i said i LOVED gibson acoustics i just cant afford them
fender electrics on the other hand are just like the... Geo Metro car of the guitar world. they are about as low as you can go and still be buying a car and not a go-kart (yea there are other names out there but you get the point)... they are the lowest quality standard electric guitar out there... and they are overpriced... i OWN a fender telecaster so you tell me how much i never play or know about em eh?? =))))
hehe, no it's all good. i just think they suck for the money... for $250 you cuold buy a shitty ass acoustic fender or a jasmine takamine guitar... which is gonna be a better guitar? exactly...
Xoosh is wrong. Clapton plays a Strat. The Acoustic line isn't bad, it's not Taylor/Martin quality, but it's a damn sight better than alot of people say. I own a great DG-10. Stays in tune for 4-6 months at a time. Nice, bassy sound.
Yea, gibson acoustics, as ranting said, aren't bad at all. My dad owns a '73 Gibson J-45Deluxe.. it's beautiful anyway, about the fenders, i personally don't like fenders, but they are good sounding guitars none the less. Just if you like it, but it. If not, then don't.
Shows Been to: 7-17-02, 12-15-03, 7-20-04, 7-5/6-05
just want to say, I'm cool with you xoosh, and I didn't know you had a telecaster.
there are also new fender acoustics that are built a lot better than their old ones. I tried some at the guitar store a few months ago, and I was suprised by the quality, they are quite a few bucks more than their DG guitars.
