Back Porch Arrangement

Its a traditional arrangement called Jenny Jenkins. It is me on mandolin and vocals and fellow bandmate, Jack, on guitar and a little back up vocals. We recorded on my back porch and I added a little reverb and did some panning. Anyways, ya its a fun little song we picked because its simple and I'm a little sniffly so we needed an easy song to sing as well. Please give it a listen.

hm, works for me still.

i listened to it. i don't really have much to say. don't really care for the song, and haven't heard the original before... so nothing really to compare it to. the way you sing "jenkins" annoys me for some reason.

Well you got a good quality recording out of it. Its was very traditional. I guess I don't really know what you want us to critique. Good job though.

I guess if anything I'd like some critique on mandolin. I think I did pretty decent considering Ive only been playing for about a year

musically i loved it. everything was perfect. the guitar was great, the mandolin really complimented the song. my only critique is the way you sang the lyrics. and iha touched on it, but it sounds like a bad impression of a country accent. and it's not just the word jenkins. there's a difference in a fake country accent like what this one sounds like, and a real one like brian has. and maybe you're not using a fake accent, but if not, i would work on pronunciation.

other than that, i loved it. great job, i could listen to an instrumental of that all day long.

i don't think it's a fake accent. i remember a while ago when we had that thread about what your voice sounds like.. kahn sounded like a hick.

Very impressive quality recording. No real critiques, the playing was splendid, the vocals were good, the mix was really good, i liked the voices panned hard left then right then left etc...
