watch those slaps that you seem to love to do every other beat
they are un-needed.
you could probably use some practice on rhythm (though this song is rather difficult to sing and play as it is, so i commend you on trying).
your voice seems to crack when it gets up there on the scale -- try singing it lower... like an octave or a few steps lower. downtune your guitar if you have to... no one would know =)
great effort overall. deffinitely could tell your heart was in it.
overall comment, work on the sing/play combination it's a real doozey.

there are a few steps in getting better at singing/playing
a) hum the tune while playing. this helps you find the pitches and sort of time your pitches with the guitar. do this until you can do it seemlessly.
b) play a song and talk to someone. talk as you would normally talk, not in rhythm, the best way to play and sing is to get your guitar skills and guitar work to the point of being a subconscious thing. where yuo can do it without thinking about it. that's the best way to sing/ play at the same time.
c) start with simple chord progressions instead of dave songs for working with singing and playing... howie day is a good one to work on (specificly the song, "so sorry") which is hella fun to work on =)

it certainly is. that's why i suggest humming to the song while playing and talking. talking was the thing that helped me the most.
