I'm working on billies and i'm having problems. First, what are these "~~~~~" things after the 8 on the low E. second, when i saw the video from that kid selling the CDs on ebay it didn't look like the tab on the site

Can i get some help. thanks

that means let it ring. as in...hold that note out while you do that little slide from 4/5 on the g string or wahtever.

Follow the tab on the site. and download storytellers. tehre are a couple shots of the verse. it helped me.

I too always wondered what that meant. Thought that maybe it was just a typo or something that got added when I copied that tab over to notepad.

I used to think you were to put vibrato into it by bending it rapidly.

it might be vibrato....but fuck it if it is. i have neough trouble keeping it ringing. haha.

Just hold the note down and don't release it.

Vibrato is sometimes written as "~" other times as "v" and "^^" So in general you were right

It can be played with and without , some people do it with the vibrato and others don't , both ways sound good to me

Its played so fast anyway that it doesn't matter all that much.

I was going to say something like that. either way it doesn't matter. most people wouldn't notice a vibrato there anyway...
