i'm tired of the drawn out intro to watchtower, with steffan and dave noodling. after listening to the live trax, the one's pre 2000, the feel of those watchtowers with dave starting with the main riff and he and carter harmonizing the lyrics (red rocks '95) makes the song much more powerful for me. and i personally love the "this one is for Jerry," shout out on live trax 5.

the intro is just too long. it gets a little repetitive and annoying imo.
the '95 red rocks version of Watchtower is probably one of my favorites
and the one from LT5 like you mentioned is also at the top.

I'm watching the Alpine DVD right now. Very well done. There's definitely bits of shakiness, but imo it's really well done given what the guy had to work with. 3 cameras, that would take so long to do.
