Jared asked us almost two years ago to refrain from telling people to "do a search". This still applies. If you are not going to help the poster, simply do not post. A helpful post would be you either pointing the poster to an appropriate thread or answering their question and at the end calling their attention to the Search function, perhaps linking them to the tutorial thread in nDMB.
If a topic is posted in the incorrect forum or is inappropriate for other reasons, please hit the
button to report it to the moderators; it will be dealt with as soon as possible. It is not necessary to post "WRONG FORUM" or "IBTL IDIOT", and in fact, this is very unwanted. While we appreciate your enthusiasm, backseat moderating rarely helps anyone, especially when it's done with an inappropriate attitude.The purpose of this forum, and indeed this site altogether, is to be a community for fellow guitar players and fans to communicate, ask questions, progress as persons and musicians. If at any point in time, it is determined that a member is harming this community instead of furthering, no matter who the member is, the person will be dealt with swiftly and permanently.
