Quick question

What are some moveable chords that every lead guitarist should know? I know the power chords like 3-5-5 and (sorry I'm not sure what their called) (x-x-x-5-4-3) But what are some other ones? Thanks

Well, all chords are 'move-able'. I think something every guitarist should know is how to play the same chord in different positions on the neck. for example, knowing the different places along the neck you can play a G chord. also... not to to be nit picky... but a "lead" guitarist should probably know the chord names of what he's playing. If you don't know what your playing it could easily be very conflicting with what your rhythm player is playing.

Do like what taparoo said. Learn all the chords, sharp, miner, 7th, major 7th, and how to form them. Then once you learn that you'll know how to form them all across the neck.

That's another very important part of being a guitarist. Once you know how to form a certain chord, you don't have to go digging through chord charts to find that chord. Say you run into a Bm7b5, you could say to yourself 'B minor, so the root is B, then since it's minor the third is flat, and the 7 means to flat the 7th, and the b5 means to flat the 5.'

Couldn't you just say Bdim7?

Yeah. I've seen it written both ways, though.
