okay, i can't be alone here in thinking that peal jam's state of love and trust is one of the coolest damn songs in the solar system. i'm talking about the mtv unplugged version here, it's just such a perfect recording of the song. everything's so right on and succint, the solo, the hey na na na na na hey yea something, the drumming. damn, i wish that drummer hadn't left.
wish i was better at playing barre chords and could play the song better, but whatever. if you don't know the song, i'd really suggest it. both the video and audio only tracks are pretty easy to find on file sharers. go forth and spread the word.
i've heard the song and must admit it's one of my fav PJ songs as well... but about the mtv unplugged, was that ever released onto CD?.... or did you download it off something?
I've got the entire show on two discs... One disc is the performance and the other is the rehearsals. They are straight from the soundboard.
I got them from someone on Nancies.org last year sometime. Apparantly somebody patched into the soundboards or stole a copy and was scared to spread them until this past year.
I'll do a B&P or trade for them if you're interested?
Im with you on that opinion. I have the whole unplugged set and i would put it up there with any Dave Live performance. State of love and trust is so clean and spontaneous in that set. I have never heard Eddie sing it like that before. I was able to pick up the tabs but it doesn't sound the same without Mike McCready making the fills.
