that show had a sweeeeet jimi thing
the more i think about it, dmb should of released both burgettstown shows over fenway. the burgettstown shows were ridiculously awesome
there were a lot of shows this past tour that should have been released instead of Fenway. those shows are seriously lacking in the setlist department compared to what they were playing earlier in the tour
A Gorge set would have been nice.
well they planned to release fenway before the tour was over.
so looking at two night stands from the first leg...
i would of loved Deer Creek, Star Lake, or SPAC over Fenway
I woulda got it if they used deer creek, definitely better sets then fenway

I think it has more to do with amount of songs played, meaning more variety, than venue. there "big show" of the year, (ex: golden gate, red rocks, central park, fenway etc.) are either longer sets or multiple days. 3,4,5 cd's seems more exciting than 2. not saying quanity is better than quanity, but i think it plays into it. i think they could release the 3 days they play at the Gorge every year and it would be a great buy every time.

this is true.... at night 2 alone they had 6 song debuts that were all very good and very rare songs....and a sick STJL that hadnt been played in 2 years..... i also noticed that after looking at the almanac that they didnt even soundcheck r&r and it hadnt been played in almost a year and it was very solid

Sweet. I can't wait to hear stuff about the new album. It'd be nice to hear some of it, like pieces of the single or something.
i know this is going to make me sound like an idiot...but what does SPAC stand for, where is it, and is it a better venue than like Alpine Valley or the gorge?

Saratoga Performing Arts Center and it is in Saratoga, NY. It is on par with Alpine, but the Gorge is definitely better.
