6 Jazz Songs Inside UPDATE 12/10/06

Post by Cor »

Hey guys,
I have 3 songs posted on my myspace, all jazz tunes.

1 is a transcription of a chord melody arrangemt of "Night and Day" by Joe Pass.
2 of them are from the big band concert I played in a few weeks ago - "Spain", "Ya Gotta Try".

Also, here is "Tribute to Miles" (A Miles Davis medley consisting of "So What" "All Blues" "Seven Steps to Heaven" and "Milestones".) It was to big to go myspace, so here is the link.

I have solos in Spain and Tribute.

Enjoy, and thanks in advance if you listen, it's always really appreciated.

UPDATE

I played in a guys senior recital a month or two ago and finally got the audio from it. I'm going to post "Milestones" by Miles Davis. We also did "Straight, No Chaser" by Thelonious Monk and an original by the bandleader.

If you're interested in hearing more, tell me and I'll gladly upload them.

UPDATE: 12/10/06

I played with this badass saxophone player in an honor's recital this past week. We played "El Nino" by Michael Brecker. It's a latin modal tune. I played with another guitarist, but he was way too loud, so he kind of drowns out my solo (Second guitar solo), but here it is anyway. We also had only 8 minutes to play, so it sucked because I really didn't get a chance to develop my solo. :? Anyway, I was pretty happy with the solo anyway. So here it is.

I am always happy to ear some jazz guitar and these one are nice.

What artists do you recomend Cor? Do you have any audio that you can send me? If some were on acoustic guitar it would be awesome!

Thanks!

You're really good at jazz. I don't know too much about it, but from what I'm hearing you play there isn't much to critique. Nicely done.

Dude, absolutely nothing to critique. I absolutely love jazz, and I absolutely love these recordings. I wish I could play jazz better than I do. Great work Cory.

Milestones first, then El Nino.

Cool. Like I said, I wish my guitar was louder on El Nino, but it's cool. Live and learn. I was pretty happy with Milestones. I felt like I kinda dropped the ball on my opening line, but after that it was alright. THanks again for listening, man.
