songs in interviews

Post by avilla »

Hello all! so i have this paper i have to do where i must do a song analysis. for the paper, i need to have some quotes from the artist where they specifically talk about the song in question. i have been having a hard time getting started on this project to say the least. i wanted to do my paper on gravedigger however, this is looking to be a little harder than i thought. if anyone knows of an interview where he discusses specifically this song, or any other of his songs, i would greatly appreciate your help. actually, it doesn't even need to be dave matthews...i am getting so desperate. if anyone knows of any interviews where an artist discusses specifically a song of theirs, that would work too. i am into all kinds of music, so please fire away. thank you all for any help you can give.

I take every gif I watch (which is A LOT) with a humongous grain of salt. But I don't let that grain of salt get into my eye and blind me to whatever truth can be found in what I'm watching. He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.

I went to Yahoo and just typed in 'dave matthews interview gravedigger' There wasn't a lot of info, but there were quite a few interviews where he at least mentioned the song and especially the video. Also, on the MTV acoustic thing, he talks about the video and some of the meanings behind it......that might help.

it's really shitty that i watched this, but i was flipping through and came across this country artist...and now i can't remember his name, toby keith maybe??? anyway, he did an interview about two songs, one called the taliban man and another called the critic. the taliban man he said was a song about a man that grew up in afghanistan and wanted to get away from the taliban while the americans bombed the country. and the critic was an inside joke but was directed towards some critics that gave him bad reviews and the song says like, they guy sucked as a musician so he became a critic instead. he said he wanted to see if they had a sense of humor. i know you already chose a song but i thought that was kind of a funny story/interview. the songs sucked ass though. horrible horrible songs. but the interview was good :D
