DMB on DirecTV - Stand Up Release Show 5-9-05

I dunno how many of you have heard but DMB is being shown on the FREE channel (101) of DirecTV, selections from their Stand Up Release Party performance. I just finished watching it and must say that I wasn't that impressed, though that's probably because they played mostly shorter tunes and less jammy stuff. If I remember correctly, the stuff they showed was American Baby, Warehouse, Hunger For The Great Light (which sounded like total crap, aside from it being a crap song anyway

), Everyday, Two Step (which they stretched out a bit), Bayou (Dave played it on his Taylor, not the Jerry Jones), and Where Are You Going. The overall sound was pretty crappy, which could have had something to do with my TV. I'm looking at the setlist on dmbalmanac and it kinda makes me mad they didn't show way better tunes like #41, Hello Again, or The Stone. So, just wanted to throw my two cents out there.

AOL broadcasted this live, it was a pretty mediocre show to say the least. Hello Again was the highlight

I got the full thing, but its in 3 parts and my connection is really slow tonight so maybe over the weekend if nobody else does it

Don't worry about it. It looks like youtube has quite a few vids from that show. That's good nuff for me

And that vid of the Stone is pretty cool. Much more synthy than the one's i'm used to hearing. Not as much power as other performances of the tune imo, though. I love the one from WOTR
