So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

LeRoi's sax is awesome on recently's Watchtower???? haha. Being a sax player I cringe everytime I hear him try to go from so high to so low so fast. It hurts.

your right but it just has that unpolished sound to it that i just love. like i like all their older stuf so much because its fun to hear when the band wasnt such a well oiled machine.

I love rough and raw sax sounds too, hence my obsession with the bari, but still. I had to draw the line, lol!

I have to agree, I love the intro to that version, because it is so smooth with dave picking random notes of the chords and Stefan continuing his cool wah-wah bass effect for a background solo. It sets up the rest of the song perfectly, better than other watchtowers. Also, because the sound is so clean, you can hear butch's part, which totally complements the violent yet reflective nature of the song.

who here plays the "newer" jam to watchtower. It definitly reminds me of Staiway to Heaven, the jam part at least where John Bohnam is going crazy on the drums,
