IBYU is so just....well...cheesey. He wrote the song when his songwriting skills were in an embryonic state and It was a good start, bt he has done way better songs since. The song that really has made me cry lately is Stay or Leave. Right when the strings come in at the "Remember we used to play..." part just makes me bawl my eyes out. Lyrics like "Wake up naked drinking coffee making plans to change the world..." are so much more mature, poetic, and thoughtful than those in IBYU, where he is just a lovesick puppy. IBYU is by no means a bad song, it is just dave hadn't begun to achieve his songwritig potential when he wrote it.

I was just thinking the other day that it was so unfair that dave wrote CRUSH AANNDD SAY GOODBYE.....he should donate one of those, it's just not fair
