#41 Jam

Post by dmbguitar718 »

Ok, so this wont be my final version of this, but I just wanted to see what the general consensus was on my #41 Jam. The lead was bullshitted, if that makes sense to anyone.

just ignore the slaps, those will be taken out unless people like them...anyway, changes are due...but here it is now:

The cover overall sounds good to me , i would lose the slaps though , not that you do it choppy , it fits in rather well , i just think its too much , #41 should be played without them :)

The solo's ain't bad either ....

Nice job

I think the slaps could work.. they'd just need to be overly emphasized and at the peak point in the jam and not in the valleys

for the most part it sounded really good, but I do agree with boroks and dusty, the slapping needs to go. Other than that it sounded really good, i like the soloing that starts at around 3:00, and i like the way that you switch the strumming pattern around a little bit.

it sounds good! I think the slaps can be left out.... question about them though...

Tim Reynolds does alot of slapping kind of sounds in his solo acoustic stuff....does anyone know of a site that teaches the slapping stuff? I have trouble with it for some reason. thanks

yea, didn't like the slaps, but you already covered those bases. they weren't terrible, just didn't fit the song imo. kinda boring though. i mean it sounded really good, but you should have done a lot more lead stuff to make up for no vocals. what you did sounded really good though. good job.

first off needs singing. Next the soloing just kind of meanders it doesnt really have any direction. But overall it sounds good
