Crash Into Me

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Crash Into Me

Post by Phantasmagoria »

Great song to play and sing on the guitar... but my fretting hand is always cramped by the second verse. How do you guys make it through the whole song without that problem?

Verse Substitute

Dave's hand often start to hurt from the stretch so he plays this as the song goes on for the verse.

Well, yeah, I have seen that before. Only problem is that the cramp is actually coming from my thumb bracing my hand against the fretboard. The stretching really doesn't bother me.

Same here. You learn to get through it the more you play it, though. And that's probably not a problem with Dave cuz of his hitch-hiker's thumb.

It just takes time and practice, that's all.
