My old Kawai (May it rest in piece, may the dust of my attic grant unto it eternal rest) has a completely cracked fret board that we super glued. I surprised it held together. It was that way before we got it used, but it was a damn good guitar, despite its crappy action and lousy sound.

My guitar has some battlewounds. My little sister (whose insane!) gets angry at me and just attacks me sometimes, so my guitar ends up ran into a wall, dropped, or worse. I'm not to worried though, its just a low end alvarez (about 150 new i think). Sisters just don't understand.

i forgot: freshman year my roommate's Fender acoustic's NECK cracked in half (or rather, we suspect someone cracked it)...but he wood glued it and played it for another year before he got his taylor 310. it played pretty good.

after i had my Takamine for about two weeks i was invited to a co-workers to jam with him...i was packing up and grabbed the guitar case and headed for the door and it fell open!! (i hadn't secured the latches)...it banged right off my dresser and its the only ding the guitar has after a year of playing!! GGGRRRRRRRRRR...also, i hate when i let others play my guitar and they bang it into coffee tables or other guitars like it's nothing...

one thing that bothers me is when people play my taylor, and they strum like mad and i cringe. only I am allowed to go wild on it. only I may risk damaging the finish above the soundhole with a pic. so i usually take it back after a second or 2.

Some people really feel the need to attack others' guitars. Why, who knows?

It was in holiday at night at a beach, there were a lot of people and we were sitting round some candles and stuff and these guys with their ghetto blasters just hated me I think.
Now how can anyone hate you ?

I was flipping through the channels last week and I stopepd at MTV because there was some band filming a behind-the-scenes type show. They were in the studio. Definately more of a heavy, edgy sound, compared to my style (acoustic guitars, nothing too crazy).

Anyway, one of the guitar players had a Taylor (looked like either a 614c or 814c). He had written ALL OVER the top of it with black marker. Some of the stuff he had written were blurred out by the cencors. A few minutes later, he brings his Taylor outside to the parking lot and proceedes to .. .yup ... SMASH THE SHIT OUT OF IT!

He smashed it all over the asphault until it was in a million pieces. I was so pissed. I actually felt sick to my stomach watching this happen in front of my eyes. I think I may have shut it off after that.

As for my trusty Yamaha, lots of dings on it. Most of it is from banging it against desks, tables, etc. But its a cheap guitar (around $400 for HS graduation in 1998). I am looking to buy a Martin D-28 or HD-28 sometime next year. Can't wait!

My new Washburn has been with me for a few months, and it has met the corner of a wall once or twice while being carried. It has fallen over a couple of times too. Overall there was nothing major done to it, but Sometimes I worry. I am glad that it is not a Taylor or Martin. I would have to commit suicide the way that I handle my guitar sometimes.

peace
I love you oh so well, like a kid loves candy and fresh snow.
