Tim Reynolds Ants Marching

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Tim Reynolds Ants Marching

Post by TimmyC1238 »

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone had a tab for how Tim Reynolds plays Ants Marching. I'm not looking for his solos, just the verse and chorus. It sounds like he plays it in drop D, but I'm really not sure. Thanks and I appreciate your help.

Thanks, but like I said, I am looking for just how he plays the main riff......not the solos. When he plays along with Dave he sounds a lot deeper and gives the song a good tone. Listen to any version of Dave and Tim and it can be heard. Here is the song played in 2003 and you can see what I'm talking about. Thanks again. http://www.sendspace.com/file/4ed6h6

I think Tim does something on the low E (probably a drop D or C)...

The later recordings I've heard of D&T, Tim is in Drop D on this song. I belive he was in Drop D on Storytellers, and at the 2005 Vegoose show. Without having the song to listen to I want to say he's pretty much playing the standard chords for the verse and chorus, but hitting that low D note for extra emphasis, as well as doing those funky fills we all love Tim for.
