Acoustic Baritone Strings

Does anyone know what kind of strings to put on an acoustic baritone? I've never seen acoustic baritone strings.

there aren't really any acoustic baritone guitars, save for the custom kind. you can assemble a set from single string bin. also i think i have seen some stuff out there. i used to hang out with this mexican guy who's dad had one of those really big baritone acoustics and it used nylon strings.

i guess my advice is to keep looking.

ok, i did some research. Elixir makes electric baritone strings but not acoustic. I emailed them and they said use the resonator strings or put together a set with single strings. So here is a break down of the gauges compared to the electric baritones, what do you think i should use. . .

012 016 022 038 052 068 Electric Baritone Strings
012 016 022 039 052 056 Mix and Match Single Strings
016 018 028 035 045 056 Resonator Strings

I'm just worried about that low B being .012 smaller. Would .056 even been heavy enough of a guage?

look into heavy guage strings. i think they go .014 to .062.

do you have a baritone to try this on? cuz i'd just buy a set of heavy at the guitar store and experiment a bit.

The scale on this one is 26". I don't understand the difference between all the different lengths. Dave has 3 baritones at 3 different lengths . . 26.5, 27, and 28".

it is the length from saddle to the nut. longer scale lengths are more stable at lower tunings. bass is like 30"
