Played a Martin OMJM today

Unread post by Taylor614 » Sat Oct 07, 2006 1:58 pm

I went to this guitar store and played an OMJM today. The guy offered me a great deal before I sat down to play it. He said that if I liked it, I could have it for $2400. Usually they're like $3200. Anyway, I sat down to play it, and wasn't impressed. My Taylor 714 sounds a lot better. So, I did think about getting it, thanked the guy for the great offer, but had to pass. Anyway, just letting anyone looking for an OMJM know that they aren't all that they're cracked up to be.
My guitars:
Taylor 714
Taylor 614ce
Martin Sigma DR-41
Epiphone Chet Atkins SST (Ebony)
Danelectro 56-U2 reissue
Fender American Deluxe Strat
Fender Aerodyne Telecaster
BC Rich Eagle Custom

give the om-28JM (not the omjm) a try if you ever see one...thats what the design is meant to be. a very nice, incredibly smooth playing guitar.

If I remember correctly, they both are. One came out for a limited run first, then after those sold out they came out with the other version, but not on a limited basis...so both are his signature models.

Dear GOd! Why haven't they done this with the DM3MD?
