Truss Rod Cover

This may be an incredibly stupid question, but I'm asking it anyway and nobody can stop me...say I have a larrivee D-09, which I don't, and I wanted to get a truss rod cover put on it, and yes I do realize that you dont adjust the truss rod on the headstock of a larrivee, would it still be possible to just screw one on there anyway?

yes, if be "just screw" you mean "carefully aligned and mark the holes. then use a very small drill bit and gradually work up to the correct size of the screw. use a countersink to clear the finish around the hole so it does not lift up. then put a bit of oil or soap or lubricant on the screw, and then screw it in"

if that's what you meant. then it's an all go. but don't "just screw" it on. you're just asking to split the head stock if you do that"

I emailed Bill Nichols and he said that he does a lot of what I was asking for, usually they just use a two sided adhesive type deal instead of screwing it in.

ok yeah. that is much better idea than screwing.

but in case you do ever decide to screw anything into your guitar, be very careful about it.

yeah i learned my lesson when i decided to try to put a strap button on my guitar, luckily i stopped before i did any damage

I believe he payed around $65 for it, Im gonna get one as soon as I get a nice guitar, I cant wait.
